Quick Facts About La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant

La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant has a combination of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one customer describes the restaurant as a "super cute Mexican restaurant" with a "small town feel." This indicates that the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant are positive and inviting. The comment also mentions "big flavors" and "wonderful service," highlighting that the food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. Another reviewer mentions that the owners are "super humble and fun to talk to," which suggests that the staff is personable and adds to the overall positive experience at the restaurant.
Furthermore, several customers specifically praise the food. One reviewer states that the nachos and cheese enchiladas were "delicious" and had a "great flavor." Another comment mentions that the rice and beans were "amazing" and that everything tasted fresh. This implies that the quality and taste of the food are exceptional.
However, there are also weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer was disappointed with the enchiladas and tacos, mentioning that the cheese enchiladas had too much cheese and lacked flavor due to the absence of Ranchera sauce. They also mentioned that the taco shells were soggy. Another comment criticizes the thickness of the chips and the watery salsa. Additionally, one customer notes that the rice was "a little blan," implying that it lacked flavor. Although this weakness is minor compared to others, it is still worth noting.
Furthermore, some customers compare La Cabaña to their favorite Tex-Mex restaurants, stating that it is hard to compete with "real Tex-Mex." This suggests that the restaurant may not meet the same standards as the Tex-Mex restaurants in Central Texas. Another comment mentions that the food is "just OK" and that it did not leave a lasting impression that would make them want to return.
In summary, La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant has strengths in terms of its inviting ambiance, friendly service, and high-quality food according to several customers. However, there are also weaknesses related to the lack of flavor in certain dishes, such as the cheese enchiladas and tacos, and the dissatisfaction with the thickness of the chips and watery salsa. Additionally, the restaurant may struggle to compete with Tex-Mex restaurants in the Central Texas area. Overall, the strengths of the restaurant outweigh the weaknesses, but there is room for improvement in certain areas.

I wanted a typical Mexican plate, enchiladas Tacos beans and rice. The cheese enchiladas here are not smothered in Ranchera sauce, they have more cheese and all you taste is the cheese. The tacos were ok, but the shell was soggy before I could finish eating the taco.
The chips are a little too thick and the salsa is a bit watery.
The rice was a little blan.
The refried beans were, refried beans, not many ways to screw them up
I'm not a fan of this place, but I am from Central Texas and have my favorite Tex Mex restaurants back home. Hard to compete with real Tex-Mex.
We ended up trying this place because the little family Mexican restaurant in Greenforest was closed on Monday. Oh well, now we know next time we are in Arkansas.
I also got more reflux than normal and can't sleep yet, so I am sleep typing this review.
Super cute Mexican restaurant with a small town feel but big flavors and wonderful service with suggestions and a smile! We had the chicken chimichanga and chicken burrito dinner supreme. The owners are super humble and fun to talk to! Ask about the various decorations near the front door and along the wall!
It was our first time here. The food was really good. We'll definitely be back.
Amazing food, I was welcomed as if I was family.
Me and the wife got hungry while Paul and the nice people at Quality Tire were fixing our car. As Texans, we seriously debated trying Tex-Mex outside of the Tex-Mex capitol of the world. We weren't sure if it would be good. We're very glad we ate here. My nachos were delicious! The ground beef had such a great flavor! My wife had the cheese enchiladas, also very good! If you ever get hungry while traveling through Berryville, give this place a try!
After reading some of the reviews , I almost skipped this restaurant, however I'm glad I went. I wrote a food column in the Los Angeles area for about 5 years so I've sampled quite an array of Mexican Restaurants in my 50 + years. For Tex Mex, I was quite pleased with the food and service here. I received a friendly greeting and good service from the wait staff. Some people had complained about the chips and salsa. The chips are quite thick but that's because they're homemade and don't taste like chips out of a bag. The salsa was definitely not typical but I found their blended version fresh and a nice change from the usual. The chicken and cheese enchilada plate was tasty, well spiced with a generous serving of rice and beans. The food tasted fresh and inspired and I'll definitely be back. For you folks reading reviews and on the fence about coming here , I'd say it's worth a try. I enjoyed La Cabana.
Among the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything was good, even the rice and beans were amazing. I loved their thick tortilla chips and if I had to pick any any nits it would be that I prefer chunky salsa to smooth, but it was still really good.
This seems like a great local eating spot and the people are very friendly. The food on the other hand is just OK. Nachos were made from bland ingredients and the "watch out its hot" sauce only tasted like salty tomatoes. Not bad food, but nothing that made me want to come back.
